2020, Carbohydrate PolymersCitation Excerpt :100 μg of such solid substance was mixed with 50 μL of O-methyl hydroxylamine hydrochloride/pyridine solution and kept at 40 °C for 80 min, 80 μL of N-methyl-N-(trimethylsilyl) trifluoroacetamide was then added to the system and the reaction was kept on for another 80 min. After the mixture was cooled down at room temperature and centrifuged (12,000 r/min, 5 min), 1 μL of supernatant liquid was extracted for GC–MS analysis (Lee et al., 2017). To verify the final products (molecules containing C2∼6) obtained from the reaction, a GC–MS analysis was performed on a Trace 1310 gas chromatograph (Thermo, USA) equipped with an ISQ single quadrupole mass spectrometer (Thermo, USA) and a MP–5 ms gas chromatographic column (0.25 mm × 30 m ×0.25 μm, Agilent, USA).
